I was born in Lancaster, Ohio and grew up in Millersport, Ohio where I graduated from Millersport High School in 1981. I am the youngest of three siblings. I married the love of my life Caralee on June 28, 1986. I entered the USAF in October 1986 and was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio. Caralee and I have two beautiful daughters, Caitlin who is 21 and is enrolled at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Cydney who is 18 and is a senior in High School.
I came to know my Savior Jesus Christ in March of 1989. It was and still is the most meaningful decision I made in my life. While stationed at Wright–Patterson in 1990 I earned my BS degree in Accounting. As my relationship with my Savior grew deeper I felt the calling to go into the ordained ministry and when enlistment was over 1996, I enrolled in seminary at Methodist Theological School in Ohio. That same year I was appointed to Monroe Street UMC, Toledo, Ohio as the Youth Pastor. I also enrolled into the Chaplain Candidate program to become a chaplain in the USAF reserves in 1996 and later became a Chaplain in the USAF reserves in 2000.
In 1999 our family moved to Ostrander, Ohio where I served as Pastor for Ostrander UMC and a year later in 2000 I earned my Master of Divinity degree from MTSO. In 2006 we moved once again to Bainbridge, Ohio serving as Pastor for the Bainbridge UMC.
While serving as Chaplain in the USAF I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB and then transferred to the Youngstown Air Reserve Station serving as the Wing Chaplain for the unit. During my duty Youngstown, I was deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar in 2009. In July 2011, I retired from the USAF with 24 years of service. I love to run, golf, read and I am a huge Cleveland sports fan. I love spending time with my girls and traveling to as many places as possible.
